How to look best this Karwachauth

Hello my beauties !!!!!!!!

I know I’ve been very irregular in writing blogs. This new mommy is super occupied with the baby and work.  But as I get time off I am always ready for the blogs. It’s your love that keeps me going. Karwachauth festival is around the corner and this blog is all about styling on this festival

(Karwachauth Fast is observed by married women  for the longer life of their husband and sometimes by unmarried girls for praying to get a good groom). In my case, I am traditional enough to dress up and fast the whole day for the long life of my husband but I am very much a woman of this age who would mould the rituals as per her liking. I personally love this festival and consider it as a blessing to have someone in my life for whom I can keep the fast and the most amazing part of this festival is definitely my favourite dressing up. The idiosyncrasies of this festival are usually  bright colored saree, suit or  lehenga, henna (mehendi), bangles, sindoor, bindi mostly indian bridal stuff and to compile a perfect look here are some tips…

1. Glowing skin :  get-glowing-skin.jpgGlowing skin makes any complexion look radiant and flawless. To get that perfect glow you can always go for good facial in salon, or home facials kits available in the market or homemade facepacks to suit your skin type and requirement or simple home cleansing which I explained in my previous blog My Everyday Skin Care Routine.

2. Pretty Hands:

Ah the Henna! it is considered an auspicious symbol of good fortune for married women and on karwachauth who doesn’t like beautiful henna design on their hands adorned with beautiful nails and secret rivalry to get darkest henna in the group on Karwachauth. For this beautiful art on your hands and feet you  can always call a professional or simply get the circle design done yourself with the readymade henna cone, which I am gonna do this time as my little baby won’t spare me anyhow. To go with the super-easy way of applying mehendi get the henna tattoos in whatever color you want, they are superb. For the latest henna designs there are plenty intagrammers and pinterest pinners to follow.

3. Nails:

A pretty color on well-trimmed and filed nails enhances the overall look. An amazingly gorgeous  nail art to compliment the dress that you have carefully chosen for that day, or golden sparkles to go with your plain outfit which has golden embellishments. You can go for a chic, elegant, dressy or a simple nail art design that enhances the look for the day.

4. The best outfit:
With today’s fashion and trend changing so rapidly you can never go wrong with a handloom silk saree and new brides can always recycle their wedding dress to get that new bride, first karwachauth look.

If you have been there done that, the world is your oyster. Capes, shararas, palazzos, crop tops, dhotis, cigarette pants, jackets, high-low kurtas, drapes – the silhouettes are endless! So whatever your shape, size, preference you have got best dress to look upto.

The Capes: It is the hottest trend right now and well paired with sarees, lehengas, dhoti pants, suits, pallazoos and gowns.

Crop Tops and Skirts:
Crop tops that double up as blouses, and maxi skirts that are used as lehengas are definite multi-tasking fashion.

Kurtas:
Kurtas have been so versatile recently from short kurta to long kurta, from Anarkalis to straight cut to A line to high low kurtas,  draped kurtas, jacket style kurta etc. etc. whether you pair them with skirt, palazzo, cigarette pants, dhoti pants, lehenga, sharara, shalwar or leggings there is a style for each body shape and occasion  and to complete the look carry a dupatta or just a statement necklace. This versatility is phenomenon.

5. Makeup and hairdo :
As this festival is more of an intimate occasion you don’t want to be loathed with makeup like a bride. It should be a normal party makeup and the hair you can get totally creative with – let it loose in curls, do a chic side bun for your hair or a fishtail braid, tie it in a sleek pony – the options are totally limitless. Topped with the bindi, sindoor, bangles and mangalsutra to complete the look.
